Simulation of a Laboratory Scale Ball Mill via Discrete Element Method Modelling

چکیده

Discrete Element Method (DEM) is a powerful tool for simulating different types of mills. It also used computing particles such as rocks, grains, and molecules. DEM has been widely in the field rock mechanics. In present work, DEM approach applied to model milling media (powder balls) inside planetary ball mill estimate distribution dry powder during milling. fact, efficiency DEM strongly depends on input parameters. The simulation results indicated that DEM promising dynamic motion interactions within mill. These could be utilized further develop synthesis performance, anticipate reaction, reduce wear reactions.
